Hey readers,
I feel like I've forgotten how to newsletter over here. What am I supposed to write about? This week, I don't know.
But, I have been clearing out my rss feeds (is that even a thing people say anymore?), and came across a whole bunch of interesting things to read.
Sharing them here for you, my beloved reader.
In no particular order:
Why I was wrong about sparkles - some in-depth commentary about how AI claimed the 'sparkles' emoji for its own.
Everytime I'm involved in re-designing something, I'm reminded of this corker - Users don’t hate change. They hate you.
Genuinely sad about the demise of Pitchfork, and the death of the music critic. Casey Newton wrote a good piece about it.
A great little analog take on image generation - A “non-AI artist” who renders your prompts as artwork.
Lots of new hardware will be hitting the market this year, but will they hit the target? Will the new AI Pin will be a usability nightmare? Will Apple’s Vision Pro Headsets be a hit, or are they just bulky and weird?
Spealking of hardware, check out the HoloTile Floor, an “omnidirectional treadmill surface”
The Smith & Diction Identity Process - because I just love nerding out about creative process.
Have a good week, wherever you are,
Ben
